Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Contract Monitor in the High Needs Support Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Serves as contract monitor and quality monitoring specialist for Inter Agency Agreement between DBHDS and DMAS pertaining the DD waivers.

Provides program support for the Community Living (CL), Family and Individual Support (FIS) and Building Independence (BI) waivers and serves as a subject matter expert for these waivers.

Monitors waiver operations providing technical assistance and guidance to DBHDS with an emphasis on addressing quality assurances measures and compliance with the home and community-based services (HCBS) settings requirements.

Maintains and provides, as appropriate, accurate program information to other divisions within DMAS, state agencies, providers and individuals having interest in waiver programs.

Assists with the development of waiver regulations, provider manuals, and other information and policy resources for providers.

Participates as a contributing member of a team to accomplish division goals, objectives and special projects.

Occasional travel is required to participate in quality reviews or attend other meetings that are outside of the office.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Knowledge of the values and principles guiding Health Care Behavioral Services waivers and how support and services are disseminated.

Knowledge/ experience of the Health and Social Service needs for adults, persons with disabilities and all others with special health care needs.

Experience in analyzing data and resolving problems; researching and identifying changes in program requirements and policies.

Experience developing regulations and implementing policies in a health care environment.

Experience utilizing personal computers: word processing, creating spreadsheets, and developing presentations.

Knowledge/Experience interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations to include local Social Services regulations, policies, and procedures.

Experience in meeting deadlines.

Experience with internal/external stakeholders.

Additional Considerations

Competitive candidates should meet these additional considerations:

Professional experience in health care system or social services environment.

Knowledge of Medicaid systems and Operations.
