Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is looking for a WAGE/PT MDS RN. The MDS Nurse is responsible for the coordination of the RAI process and input of the Minimum Data Set and care plans for residents.
****Please note this position is PRN and does require the RN to commit to working one day a week, one weekend a month, and one holiday.
**This is a part-time, wage position with no benefits. Hours may not exceed 1500 in a year between May 1st – April 30th.
Job Duties Include:
Set reference dates in compliance with regulations for the MDS assessments.
Ensure completion of the CAAs and development of the comprehensive care plan.
Coordinate IDT meetings and serves as a resource person to all disciplines regarding the RAI process.
Ensure completion of the MDS in accordance with federal/Medicare regulations and requirements.
Provide guidance, education and direction to staff and communicate changes in policy and procedure as needed.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in the completion of the MDS ensuring organized nursing services for the residents assigned to the facility.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia
MDS Certification or 1 year prior experience
Prior experience completing resident assessments
Knowledge of the RAI process and RUG system
Experience using Point Click Care
Additional Considerations
Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting
