Summary
As a Landscape Supervisor at Derby City Pools & Outdoor Living, you will lead a team in executing landscaping projects that enhance outdoor spaces. This role is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional outdoor living experiences while ensuring quality and efficiency in all installations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Lead a team of landscapers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
- Oversee the installation of plants, trees, and other landscape features while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Develops and maintains a professional relationship with the project owners, managers, foreman, crewman, our vendors, and subs.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
1. Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform physical duties in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions
2. Safely use varied hand and power tools
3. Drive a motor vehicle and/or heavy construction equipment
4. Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment
5. Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
6. Must work overtime as required
7. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to traffic and potentially hazardous conditions like a snowstorm event we may be preforming snow services
Qualifications:
1. Valid Driver’s License and Medical Card
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. At least 3 years’ experience that is directly related to duties and responsibilities specified

8. Common construction and maintenance of hand tools, equipment, and material knowledge
- Responsible for maintaining safety standards on the job site.
- Coordinates with Project & Operations Manager, and Sr. foreman to schedule any necessary materials, subcontractors, equipment, etc.
- Produces the project within hours budgeted.
- Performs training and development for crew members, creating highly skilled and competent pool crewman.
- Maintains and submits all records for each job daily as required.
- Works without supervision, using skills and knowledge gained by experience, industry certification, to install all aspects of pool projects.
- Operates equipment in a safe manner, observing all safety regulations as prescribed by DCP and the equipment operator’s manual. Trains crew members in equipment operation.
- Reads, interprets, and implements Landscape and Pool Construction Plans.
- Conducts training sessions.
- Reads and implements DCP handbook.
- Participate in recruiting, advancing, positively promoting other employees
- Plans and executes small scale or large-scale pool operations
- Supervises and participates with crewman in preparing and installation of pool project
- Makes sure equipment is used safely and properly
- Installs pool coping
- Builds outdoor living spaces
- Forms and pour concrete pads and pool binders
- Operate snow removal services when requested
- Must obtain some creativity skills
- May dig trenches and install plumbing, electrical, drains, lighting, etc.
- Ensures crew materials and customer properties are in the very best conditions possible
- Responsible for proper use of all equipment (hand tools and power-operated)
- Ensures crewman display professional appearance and manner
- Ensures company grounds are maintained a professional appearance
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
