JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions for DerbySoft’s Portal Product. This position demands exceptional technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to successfully drive complex projects to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless alignment with business objectives while upholding the highest technical standards and best practices.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure software systems.
- Lead the technical design and architecture discussions, ensuring alignment with product requirements and long-term strategies.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and QA teams, to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and enhancing system reliability
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Drive code quality through code reviews, testing strategies, and adherence to best practices
- Adhering to the SDLC process to ensure all deliverables comply with security requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in software development, with expertise in:
- Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud, Mybatis, Hibernate, JPA, and other open-source frameworks, with the ability to perform secondary development.
- Front-end development technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, ReactJS, GraphQL, and NPM.
- Unit testing frameworks like Jest / Junit / Easy Mock / Spockframework.
- Functional testing framework like CodeceptJS, Puppeteer, NightwatchJS, and MochaJS
- Code version management tools such as Github or Bitbucket.
- Code build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Code bundle tools such as Webpack or Vite
- Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in an Agile development environment.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Travel Industry.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with container management systems such as Kubernetes.
- Contributions to open-source projects or published technical papers.
