Job Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of projects within the shipyard. This includes developing and implementing project plans, managing project changes, conducting regular project reviews, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor progress and track milestones.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report progress to stakeholders, including changes made to plans and production.
• Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
• Perform risk assessment to minimize and manage project risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Meet with clients to clarify project requirements.
Requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Financial management experience, including basic accounting principles.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and materials management.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and process improvement techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of five years' relevant trade experience within the marine industry or equivalent combination.
