Job Description
Role: Oracle DBA
Location: NJ (Must be Local, or from NJ, NY, PA area)
Duration: Long Term
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Configure and manage Oracle Internet Directory (OID) for user authentication, authorization, and directory services.
- Implement and oversee Tidal Automation workflows to schedule, monitor, and manage database jobs and processes.
- Perform database tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
- Ensure database security by managing user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application deployments and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance using tools and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Monitoring Windows Server Environment for OS patches & installing HCS Software
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for operational continuity.
- 60% DBA LDAP work and 40% infrastructure work
- Integration of Webserver Applications & SQL Databases & Oracle Databases
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
- Expertise in Oracle Internet Directory (OID) administration and integration.
- Hands-on experience with Tidal Automation for job scheduling and workload management.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
