SAP FICO Consultant
Location: Boise, Idaho (onsite)
Job description SAP FICO position
We are seeking an experienced S/4 Hana Finance/SAP FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling) Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production system, enhancing, and maintaining SAP FICO functionalities for our clients, ensuring smooth business operations and compliance with financial and controlling requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and support for SAP FICO modules (FI/CO) within the AMS project framework.
- Work on issue resolution, day-to-day maintenance, and minor enhancements for SAP FICO modules.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions in SAP FICO.
- Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of financial transactions, ensuring that issues are resolved effectively.
- Manage and configure SAP FICO modules, including but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis.
- Perform system testing, provide support during integration, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure smooth and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
- Provide training to end-users and guide them through SAP FICO processes.
- Stay up to date with SAP FICO updates and new features to help optimize business processes.
- Coordinate with the technical and functional teams to ensure system performance and data integrity.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of financial and controlling processes, SAP best practices, and integration points between modules.
Experience in supporting SAP FICO configurations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
Ability to analyze business processes and design SAP solutions that meet client requirements.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
SAP Certification in FICO (optional but preferred).
Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM, SD, or PS is preferred.
Familiarity with reporting tools like SAP Fiori, SAP Ariba, Concur.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
