Job Description
Position: Technical Guidewire Architect
Location: Dallas, TX (onsite)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Guidewire Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with Guidewire Cloud or on-prem deployments, and a deep understanding of the P&C insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall solution design and technical architecture of Guidewire implementations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Define and enforce best practices for Guidewire configuration, integration, and development.
- Oversee the work of Guidewire developers and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Participate in solution reviews and guide architectural decisions across integrations, data, and APIs.
- Lead cloud migrations or upgrades to Guidewire Cloud Platform, if applicable.
- Drive performance optimization, scalability, and futureproofing of Guidewire implementations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 years of IT experience, with 5 years in Guidewire architecture and development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Proficient in Gosu scripting, Guidewire Studio, and configuration.
- Strong understanding of integration frameworks (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, Messaging, ESB).
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Guidewire certifications such as Guidewire Certified Architect or ACE Certified.
