Job Title: Automation Engineer
The Automation Design Engineer is responsible for conceiving, developing, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated manufacturing systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical, electrical, and control systems for automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Specify and integrate robotics, vision, and other manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate with automation technicians to assemble, test, and troubleshoot custom-built automation systems.
- Work with design engineers to prepare cost estimates for automated manufacturing systems and research new manufacturing technologies.
- Document and train manufacturing personnel on the use of custom-built automation systems.
Requirements:
- Machine design using 3D CAD software.
- PLC and HMI programming.
- Electrical design and documentation.
- Robotic application and programming.
- Vision system design and programming.
- Application of servo systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and program debugging skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Must be a team player with good communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds at times.
