Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Markets, this position will play a pivotal role in building and refining portfolio-level financial models. You'll collaborate closely with project development, and asset management teams, contributing your knowledge in financial modeling to support new market and product offerings.
This position will include a supporting capital market transactions – both debt and tax equity, working with banking relationships, third party stakeholders and collaboration with various teams across the organization. This will be inclusive of financial modeling and analysis, due diligence, engagement with capital providers (debt, tax equity, and equity), supporting and execution of third-party financing deals including tax equity partnerships, project finance and credit.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the execution and performance of various capital markets activities, including, but not limited to:
- Building and managing financial models – both tax equity and debt.
- Supporting the origination, due diligence, and execution of capital market transactions, including debt and equity offerings, for renewable energy projects across the various sectors such as solar, wind and battery storage.
- Preparing teaser decks and CIMs
- Analyzing trends in the renewable energy debt and equity markets.
- Prepare Board and Strategy presentations used for investment decisions.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of investment banking, valuation, accounting, applied mathematics, quantitative analytics experience or relevant coursework preferred
- Financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, project management and team-building skills experience working with cross- functional internal and external technical advisors and stakeholders.
- MBA in Finance or MSA in Accounting
- Experience in utility-scale renewable energy finance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- CFA or CPA designation or be progressing towards CFA or CPA.
- Experience with modelling both tax equity and debt structures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a flat organization, successfully leveraging the expertise of multiple colleagues in different lines of reporting.
- Ability to multi-task and arbitrate between conflicting priorities.
- Ability to take ownership over tasks and work proactively.
- Working knowledge of power markets in North America.
- Basic understanding of and/or ability to address concepts including, basis risk, power markets, hedging, losses, and congestion across markets.
- Based in Charlotte, N.C.
- Office position (hybrid)
- Limited travel 5-10%
