Job Description : Position Summary :
Deriva Energy is seeking a Senior Data Architect (SDA) responsible for defining, developing, and delivering the data and solution architecture for the Deriva Application Portfolio. application test plans for the integration from the legacy systems to the new systems. Post implementation this role will continue to support, maintain, and enhance the Deriva Applications working with the business and IT. The SDA will be responsible for documenting requirements, configuring, testing, and deploying bug fixes or enhancements. The business focus areas include generation operations, commercial, financial, health-safety-environmental, human resources, and legal.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design a comprehensive lift and shift strategy for existing systems.
Evaluate current on-premises architecture and devise a seamless migration plan to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance.
Architect scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
Work closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and provide expertise in selecting appropriate cloud services and resources.
Develop detailed documentation, including architectural diagrams, migration plans, and configuration specifications.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers to execute a variety of lift and shift implementations, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and enhance system monitoring and maintenance procedures.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degreeAND five (5) years or more of related work experience
In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma / GED AND 10 years or more years of related work experience
Desired Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
Proven experience as a Solution or Data Architect, with a focus on cloud-based solutions, particularly in lift and shift scenarios.
Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and proficiency in architecting solutions using these services.
Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with relevant tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with energy sector operations and compliance requirements is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding a team through successful cloud migrations.
Demonstrated experience with Alteryx, Workato, and other data integration solutions.
