Derksen Portable Buildings is hiring an Outside Operations Manager to join our team. This role involves frequent travel and good communication skills. This position will work alongside our contractors and purchasing department to ensure we are utilizing materials efficiently, reduce waste, and we ensure we are getting quality inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel and visit our contract facilities across various states.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and inventory control departments to ensure optimal use of materials.
- Help ensure there are appropriate levels and production of inventory at each facility.
- Work alongside contractors to maintain high-quality product standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact to the building managers at the assigned facilities.
Qualifications:
- Availability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
- Prior experience in residential, commercial, or portable building construction.
- A stable work history that demonstrates reliability and commitment.
- Ability to perform physical work as required.
- Experience in operations management and process improvement
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of portable building construction is a plus
