What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Registrar (Part-Time Maternity Leave) position at Dermalogica?
As the Education Registrar, you will be responsible for increasing student enrollment by optimizing the operations of our facilities and education portals. You will also manage efficient student registration processes to ensure a smooth experience for all.
Location: Dermalogica's Vancouver Loft (1152 Mainland St, Vancouver BC).
Schedule: Part-Time, in-person, Monday to Wednesday (24 hours per week) for the coverage of a 12-month Maternity Leave
Key responsibilities:
Drive performance and targets for class bookings
- Implement ways to drive student numbers to achieve education goals. Student support includes, but not limited to:
- Support students with booking into their Education Journey
- Support students booking into their Expert Assessment
- Creating and sharing d-Stream, virtual links for all workshops across Canada with students and instructors
- Oversee class booking operations and collaborate with the Education team to effectively ensure that class capacity goals are set and achieved.
- Actively cold call students who have not taken a class to generate bookings for new or low numbered classes.
- Oversee implementation of Education Strategy through operations as directed by Education Manager. Reporting regularly to the Education Manager on the success of the programs.
- Collaborating with the Business Consultant’s to ensure new accounts are registered for classes.
- Contacting current accounts/students that have not attended current classes and encourage the importance of enrollment.
- Contacting students who are currently in their specialist tier and support them with booking classes to achieve their Expert status.
Partnership and Undergraduate Schools
- Track graduating students and organize student packs for all participating partnership schools.
- Attending graduations where applicable and assisting with presentation of graduation awards.
- Organize all aspects of Undergraduate Student Day: notes, hand-outs, catering and registration of students.
- Promote to all postgraduate students including undergraduates and recent graduates.
- Prep for classes including student workbooks, feedback forms and post class certificates
Education Operations
- Outstanding customer service
- Oversee student area/ student store / monthly counts
- Effective marketing of Guest Speaker Events, launches and classes
- Oversee class booking operations and collaborate with the Education team to effectively ensure that class capacity goals are set and achieved.
- Work with the Education team to translate the class calendar onto the education website for student booking
- Ensure all education –related content is submitted for Website accuracy. (i.e Calendar issue link, expert check list).
Student Store Responsibilities
- Maintain student store stock including general maintenance.
- Displays, merchandizing, inventory counts, and updates.
- Manage the appearance and cleanliness of the student and kitchen area.
Expectations
- Lead by example and displays a corporate professional approach to all educational duties.
- Positively collaborates with other departments to support interdepartmental communication and other duties outside of the department.
- Communicate with Business Consultants to promote treatment bookings in the loft for potential Dermalogica prospects.
- Participates and oversees the operation of events such as, Guest Speaker Evenings, Launch Events, Career Fairs in support to endeavours outlined by Education Manager.
- Will execute and support other initiatives and programs as per the instruction of the Education Manager
- Participates in all events such as Undergraduate Student events, Trade Shows, product launches, media/consumer events and On-Tours.
Requirements
- Experience in an administration role
- Marketing experience (an advantage)
- Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office
- Esthetic industry experience is an asset
- Inventory count and analysis experience is an asset
