Laboratory Technician

Summary

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be integral to our Mohs Surgical Team, reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct laboratory procedures and analyses to treat skin cancer and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You will support the surgeon with processing tissue, using a cryostat and staining of tissue to diagnose and treat various types of skin cancer, utilizing premium skills in histology and quality control. Your relevant expertise in scientific research and laboratory techniques will enhance our capabilities in delivering accurate results and advancing our scientific goals. Responsibilities

• Log surgical cases correctly
• Process tissue specimens in a efficient and accurate manner to ensure effective treatment.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with team members.
• Utilize laboratory techniques in histology
• Ensure a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Assist in surgical procedures and participate in background tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Experience working in Mohs Surgery or in Histology is beneficial but not mandatory. The right candidate is someone who is detail orientated, willing to learn, efficient with their time and highly motivated. We will train the right person.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
