We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Comptroller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our medical office. The Comptroller will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, managing budgets, and providing essential financial reporting to the executive team. This role requires an understanding of medical office operations and a strong background in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities and ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and manage office budgets, forecasting, and cost analysis to ensure financial efficiency.
- Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, and other financial transactions.
- Manage cash flow, including daily cash reconciliation and bank account management.
- Review and analyze financial reports to identify discrepancies and opportunities for cost-saving.
- Implement and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Collaborate with office management and medical providers to optimize financial operations.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software, electronic billing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with medical office staff.
- Understanding of healthcare billing, coding, and insurance reimbursement processes is a plus.
