What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, Outpatient Surgery position at Dermatology MD?
We are a well-established dermatology office and surgery center seeking a Registered Nurse to join our growing practice. We offer the latest in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care for patients of all ages, and provide training in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position with advancement into a leadership role as the head of our surgical team, working closely with our Medical Director. Previous dermatology experience not required. We care about our employees and strive to provide the best patient experience.
Conveniently located in Chevy Chase, Maryland near the Friendship Heights metro station. Full-time benefits package, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Open discussing a part-time position 2-3 days per week.
SKLLS: mature, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, dependable
REQUIREMENT/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience required (surgical experience preferred)
- Licensing: Possess a valid Maryland or compact state Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Acts a team leader to oversee and deliver surgical care to patients, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director.
- Assists various providers during surgical procedures, medical and cosmetic appointments.
- Documents and scribes all aspects of clinical care using electronic medical records.
- Educates patients and their caregivers on procedures and instructions.
