Northwest Service Area: Northwest Valley, primarily covering Surprise, Sun City, Phoenix, North Scottsdale, Peoria, Glendale, Wittman, Sun City West, etc.
Southeast Service Area: Southeast Valley, primarily covering Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Ahwatukee, with occasional travel, once every 4-6 weeks, to Maricopa, Casa Grande, San Tan Valley, Coolidge, Florence, and Gold Canyon.

Role Overview: At DermRight, Nurse Practitioners are at the forefront of delivering compassionate and comprehensive dermatological care that goes beyond traditional healthcare roles. As a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent, specialized care tailored to meet the unique needs of patients in a variety of settings. These settings include retirement communities, assisted living facilities, group homes, private residences, and any location that DermRight patients consider home.
Your primary responsibilities will involve diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions. This includes managing acute and chronic skin issues, from eczema and psoriasis to scabies, bullous pemphigoid and skin cancer. You will be expected to conduct thorough patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote skin health and manage symptoms effectively.
In addition to routine care, you will perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and minor surgical interventions when necessary. Your role will also involve ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as skin biopsies, blood tests, DNA culture swabs, DermTech non-invasive pigmented lesion-early-stage melanoma detecting tests, wound skin scrapings, and imaging studies, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of the role, as you will interact with all parties involved in a patient’s healthcare journey. This includes coordinating with the patient’s living facility, caregivers, family members, wound care teams, hospice services, home health providers, referring providers, primary care physicians, and fiduciaries to ensure comprehensive care. You will also engage regularly with DermRight providers, medical assistants, and the leadership team to enhance patient outcomes. Your ability to communicate effectively and work in cohesively, even when operating independently in the field, will be vital in creating and executing care plans that meet the unique holistic needs of each patient.
Furthermore, you will be an advocate for patient education, empowering patients and their families with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their conditions effectively. By fostering a supportive and empathetic environment, you will help patients navigate their healthcare journeys with confidence and hope.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver dermatological care in various settings, such as hospice care, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, group homes, private residences, and more across Maricopa County and beyond.
Required Qualifications and Expectations:
- Active, unencumbered Arizona nursing license, DEA licensure, and BLS certification. MSN and Nurse Practitioner Certification from ANCC, AANP, or AACN (Adult, Geriatric, or Family).
- Reliable transportation for extensive travel within Maricopa County and surrounding areas.
- Ability to spend at least one hour with patients in their homes, which may be in remote locations, with pets, or tobacco users.
- Physical ability to lift a 50-pound bag, sit and walk for extended periods, and navigate various living conditions.
- Experience in gerontology, home care visits with dermatology foundation
- Capability to work autonomously in home visit settings.
- Flexibility to meet patient needs, managing 50 patients weekly
- Represent DermRight professionally, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with DermRight staff to ensure high-quality care and customer service. Demonstrate trustworthiness, respect, dedication, and teamwork.
