Northwest Service Area: Northwest Valley, primarily covering Surprise, Sun City, Phoenix, North Scottsdale, Peoria, Glendale, Wittman, Sun City West, etc.
Southeast Service Area: Southeast Valley, primarily covering Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Ahwatukee, with occasional travel, once every 4-6 weeks, to Maricopa, Casa Grande, San Tan Valley, Coolidge, Florence, and Gold Canyon.
About the Role: DermRight is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with a strong passion for home health and dermatology, committed to providing care to underserved communities and enjoys autonomy. We welcome applications from new graduates!
Role Overview: As a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner at DermRight, you will lead the delivery of compassionate and specialized dermatological care in diverse settings, such as retirement communities, assisted living facilities, group homes, private residences, and other places patients call home. Your role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic skin conditions, from eczema and psoriasis to skin cancer, with a focus on personalized care and evidence-based interventions. You will perform procedures like biopsies, cryotherapy, and minor surgeries, while also ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to ensure accurate and effective treatment.
Collaboration is key, as you'll coordinate with caregivers, family members, living facilities, healthcare teams, and DermRight providers to create holistic care plans tailored to individual needs. Additionally, you'll empower patients and their families through education and advocacy, helping them confidently navigate their healthcare journeys. With independence in the field and a commitment to patient-centered care, your work at DermRight will make a profound difference in the lives of those you serve.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver dermatological care in various settings, such as hospice care, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, group homes, private residences, and more across Maricopa County and beyond.
Required Qualifications and Expectations:
- Active, unencumbered Arizona nursing license, DEA licensure, and BLS certification. MSN and Nurse Practitioner Certification from ANCC, AANP, or AACN (Adult, Geriatric, or Family).
- Reliable transportation for extensive travel within Maricopa County and surrounding areas.
- Ability to spend at least one hour with patients in their homes, which may be in remote locations, with pets, or tobacco users.
- Physical ability to lift a 50-pound bag, sit and walk for extended periods, and navigate various living conditions.
- Experience in gerontology, home care visits with dermatology foundation
- Capability to work autonomously in home visit settings.
- Flexibility to meet patient needs, managing 50 patients weekly
- Represent DermRight professionally, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with DermRight staff to ensure high-quality care and customer service. Demonstrate trustworthiness, respect, dedication, and teamwork.
