6053 - 737 - Material Handler
DeRoyal is actively searching for a Material Handler to join our Critical Disposables Team in Sanford, Florida.
We currently have a 1st shift opportunity available. These are 8-hour shifts and working hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SUMMARY:
Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements.
Supports production in keeping resin, packaging, etc. on hand.
Use inventory control techniques in the required manner; Rotates stock.
Pulls orders for shipment to customers as well as pulls samples for incoming inspections as instructed.
Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner.
Processes receiving paperwork and delivers same to accounting.
Stocks work in progress and finished goods produced by manufacturing into correct warehouse locations.
Pulls work in progress materials for use in assembly area and raw materials for use in production area.
Prepares all shipping documents such as pick lists, bills of lading, Certificates of Compliance and shipping labels as required.
Orders shipping and warehouse supplies such as pallets and labels.
Repackage goods, which are damaged in storage.
Arrives at work on time and complies with company attendance and tardiness policies.
Possess ability to get along with co-workers, customers and company visitors.
Obeys all rules and performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with 2 to 4 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or 6 months to one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform arithmetic functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute basic percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Previous forklift experience required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The environment is a warehouse environment. If air-conditioning is not available, temperatures may be extreme in winter and summer months. Most jewelry, false fingernails and fingernail polish (even clear coat) are prohibited. Protective eyewear is required to be worn at all times when entering the molding work environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Hearing protection may be required.
