High School Math Teacher

Des Arc High School is looking for a dedicated and skilled High School Math Teacher to teach Geometry and Algebra 2. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, the ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible to students, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This position offers the opportunity to inspire students while helping them build critical thinking and problem-solving skills in mathematics. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging lessons for Geometry and Algebra 2, aligning with state standards and curriculum guidelines Assess student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing timely feedback Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphere Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and academic performance Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the math curriculum and share best practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field Valid teaching certification in Secondary Math (Geometry and Algebra 2) Strong understanding of high school-level math content and the ability to explain concepts clearly Excellent communication and classroom management skills Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success Des Arc High School is an equal opportunity employer.
