Cabana/Snack Bar Attendant
Supervisor:
Assistant Clubhouse Manager
General Summary:
Prepares and serves food and beverages to Club members and guests according to well established rules or etiquette and service guidelines. The snack bar attendant will also perform various incidental duties to ensure consistent and efficient service. Attendants will be required to do light cleaning duties to ensure proper cleanliness of the room, service station and equipment used.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Waits on members and guests both inside the Cabana as well as poolside when assigned.
- Ensuring orders are made correctly and delivered to the appropriate party in a fair and timely manner.
- Responsible for various side duties, such as refilling condiments, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, end of month inventory, etc.
- Assists with daily and end-of-month inventories.
- Prepared to assist managers and co-workers in cabana and in other areas of the Club.
- Must have basic knowledge of cocktail service i.e., types of drinks, wine, ingredients, garnishes, prices, proper service, etc.
- Responsible for sale tickets, ensures that members sign ticket before leaving.
- Ensures compliance with various state statutes and Club policy on alcohol service.
- Be courteous, obliging, and attentive. Always greet members and guests with eye contact and a SMILE.
- Inspect all baskets, trays, and cups for cleanliness before serving.
- Delivers food to guests at the pool when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an atmosphere which includes the Cabana, outdoor patio and poolside. Position requires long periods of walking and standing.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Food and Beverage service experience preferred with strong communication and guest relations skills.
