TITLE: Supply Chain Analyst-Teaching and Learning
DEPARTMENT: Business & Finance
REPORTS TO: Procurement Manager
RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: Director of Teaching and Learning, Chief Academic Officer

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for sourcing, procurement, inventory management, contract initiation and contract renewals and utilization for all products and services consumed by the District’s Teaching and Learning department. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for monitoring market trends and product offerings as well as prepare and present future procurement strategies for this product category. This position requires continuous use of independent judgment. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to develop a materials requirement plan for their assigned product category based on the District’s student enrollment and associated programs.
- Ability to gather data from various departments and sources, compile that data into useful information through thoughtful analysis.
- Be able to review the district’s current needs and compare them with market trends, and future product offerings to ensure the district is procuring the products and services which satisfies the demands of the present while planning for the future.
- Able to work across departmental lines and collaborate with all levels of staff and
- Possess strong improvement skills to remove waste from the system and install the most efficient methodologies for procuring, storing, and utilizing the products and services in this category.
- Be able to use information and collaborate to improve the district’s total cost of ownership for the product category, build financial and predictive analytical models to support various business decisions, develop and implement Supply Chain scorecards, and KPIs to thoughtfully grade business partner
- Maintenance of all databases used in the performance of this position as well as the preparation, processing and evaluation of all procurement requests for this category; this would include all multi-year
- Coordinate with the Library Services and Materials Coordinator and the Curriculum Management Specialist to lead the procurement process for all textbook adoptions and curated collections for specialized programming.
- Exercise a high level of personal discretion and judgement in dealing with confidential matters, including direct and independent consultation with legal counsel on matters of contract and procurement law.
- Deal effectively with customers, business and community leaders, board members, senior management, and all other levels of staff.

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Purchasing Management, Operations / Production Mgt., Logistics, Business or related Or certification in supply chain / purchasing / inventory management or logistics in conjunction with a minimum five years of practical experience in public supply chain / purchasing / inventory management or logistics.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a role that provides analytical support to a department / function and interfaces with suppliers/customers (both internal and external).
Desired:
- Experience in textbook or teaching and learning
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related
- Experience with PowerSchool ERP
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft suite of applications, specifically Teams, Excel, Word, &
- Experience with Total Quality Management (TQM) process improvement
- Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration with all levels of staff and
- Ability to translate raw data into usable information.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to link complex information and concepts ideas into actionable ideas that create value for the District.
- Detail oriented and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple
- Understanding of planning, sourcing, procurement, and/or logistics business
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with strong project management and decision-making skills.
