JOB IDENTIFICATION
Job Title: Cashier/Batting Cage Attendant
Grade: II
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Revenue Facilities
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Revenue Facilities Manager, Mountain View Adventure Center Manager
BASIC FUNCTION
The Cage/Cashier Attendant is responsible for the supervision of patrons and enforcement of rules and regulations in the Mountain View Batting Cages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service. Provide information on Park District activities
- Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue change and receipt for all admissions or concessions sales.
- Balance cash drawer at end of each shift, complete all required paperwork
- Prepare concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Responsible for operating and cleaning food preparation equipment.
- Respond to emergencies in the facility which may include incidents of a serious nature.
- Maintain batting cage area during shift, to include the batting cage house and the area around the batting cages and skate park.
- Responsible for organizing batting cage material (helmets, bats)
- Clean work areas at the end of designated shift.
- Work as a team with entire staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
OTHER DUTIES
- Answer all guest questions and concerns.
- Assist with incoming groups, as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual
- Direct patrons in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Some High School Classwork
Must be 16 years of age
Experience: Money handling experience recommended.
Experience using Point of Sales system preferred.
Certifications: First Aid, CPR and AED certifications, Classes available through Park District
Food Handler Training Certificate required following employment.
