OVERVIEW
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY
The DeSales University Career Center Graduate Assistant (GA) – from the M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration or MBA Human Resources Programs - plays a key role in helping the Career Development Center staff in accomplishing their mission, vision, and goals. Once trained, the GA will provide individual career coaching and outreach presentations to students on a variety of topics including resume/cover letter writing, interview practice, job searching and networking. Additionally, the GA will collaborate with the career center team to research and implement new initiatives around technology, diversity, and professional development. The GA will be supervised by the Director of Career Development (or the Assistant Director of Career Development) who will provide supervision meetings/conversations weekly.
