Irrigation Service Technician

Position Overview:
DeSantis Landscapes, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Irrigation Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for commercial and residential landscapes. The ideal candidate will have experience in irrigation systems, troubleshooting, and a strong understanding of water conservation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform irrigation system installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components, including valves, controllers, sprinklers, and drip systems.

• Conduct system audits to ensure efficiency and proper water distribution.

• Program and adjust irrigation controllers for optimal performance.

• Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure irrigation systems meet landscape needs.

• Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings and recommendations.

• Adhere to safety standards and company policies.

• Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for irrigation work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of various irrigation system types and components.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with smart irrigation technology and water conservation techniques.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Backflow certification (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to bend, kneel, and work on hands and knees for extended periods.
