Irrigation Systems Technician Overview:

We are seeking a growth-minded problem solver to join our team as an Irrigation Systems Technician. As part of our Irrigation Systems team, you will be working with both standard and advanced irrigation equipment, boldly progressing our mission of improving system efficiency and reducing water use through high quality installations and advanced technology.

This team member will spend their days performing various irrigation system evaluations, maintenance activities, repairs, and installations. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for serving customers.

In filling this critical position within our company, you should be ready to:

· Embody and uphold company values in all situations

· Communicate effectively with customers and other crew members in person, over the phone, and via text/email

· Delight customers and strive to exceed expectations and improve our reputation in all circumstances

· Learn and develop expert skills in both commercially available and proprietary smart irrigation technology

· Complete detailed test reports and maintain accurate records of work performed

· Diagnose and troubleshoot various irrigation systems and devices, including electrical systems

· Perform irrigation service work, including service checks, start-ups, winterizations, and repairs

· Perform irrigation system efficiency audits

· Monitor water usage and make recommendations for water conservation practices

· Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions and plant needs

· Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.

· Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

· Safely operate company vehicles and equipment

In addition to these general qualifications, our Irrigation Systems Technician will need:

· Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic

· A love of problem solving

· High attention to detail, with an uncompromising pride in the quality of your work

· Experience with residential irrigation systems, maintenance requirements, and troubleshooting – or ability and desire to learn

· Experience using a multi-meter to troubleshoot and verify operation of electrical systems

· Excellent time management skills and ability to make decisions about work priorities

· Ability to work independently and manage a schedule effectively.

· Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.

· A general knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing

· A valid driver’s license and good driving history

· Experience working with electronic scheduling tools, like Gmail calendar

Qualifications that will set you apart:

· (2) years of experience performing irrigation system evaluations, maintenance activities, repairs, and installations

· Irrigation industry certifications, including:

o Landscape Construction Professional (LCP)

o Certified Landscape Technician (CIT)

o Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)

· Experience testing, repairing and installing backflow prevention devices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Supplemental Pay:

Experience:

  • Irrigation system: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Backflow Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Bend, OR 97701 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Bend, OR 97701: Relocate before starting work (Required)
