- Opening new accounts and providing support and guidance with lending opportunities
- Educating on and proposing credit union products and services that provide solutions to member's financial needs.
- Accurately and efficiently processing members' financial transactions, including transferring money to member accounts, posting transactions, and maintaining member records.
- Owning the member experience in the branch for each member interaction to provide the best possible "Deseret First experience".
- Consistently looking for opportunities to build the branch business through member referrals, community involvement, and increasing members' wallet share of Deseret First products and services.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Two years of banking related experience is required. Experience managing people is a plus.
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is highly preferred.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Must have excellent communication skills to explain and sell products to members.
- Understand member’s needs and what services the Credit Union can offer to meet those needs.
- Ability to make people feel comfortable in easy and hard situations.
- Math skills to understand processes and decisions.
- Ability to communicate products and services to members.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn new software easily
- Office environment, moderate walking
- This position requires the individual to perform all duties out of the physical work location
- Some travel for meetings
