What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planner position at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators?
DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Financial Planner will support and contribute to the financial planning team by: being available to DMBA participants to educate, counsel and coach about financial matters.
Job Duties:
- Assist participants with most financial planning matters including preparing comprehensive financial analysis for these issues. Face to Face, Video, Phone and email consultations with participants. Presentation of comprehensive analysis and education to clients including customized suggestions and follow-up to help them achieve long-term financial security. Schedule future follow-up with client when necessary.
- Proficiency in all areas of Financial Planning- Ability to consult with participants on their DMBA benefits and their relation to all financial matters. Advanced skills in presentation of all financial issues and marketing of team capabilities to HR community. Continued education to increase knowledge base and ability to answer client questions and issues.
- Team projects as assigned. These may include workshop creation, work with the communication department, website development and IT matters. Primarily work with internal partners for projects affecting the education of participants. Help team by keeping abreast of trends and industry standards and suggestions ways in which the team can incorporate these in planning, workshop, webinar and education practices.
Required Training/Experience/Skills:
- CFP® (Certified Financial Planner®) Designation
- Financial Planning industry experience
- Interpersonal skills
