Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls at Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise. Lays out and installs new electrical service including panels, breakers, disconnect and switches.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Installs and maintains various types of motors, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers and transformersInstalls and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacementsInstalls grounding leadsContacts and coordinates schedules and oversees the on-site work of contractors and vendorsFormulates and implementation of a preventative maintenance program of electrical equipmentResponds and takes appropriate actions in the event of emergency or critical incidents, i.e. system failures, power outages and other emergenciesInterprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructionsLays out, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduitMonitors motors transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specificationsRepairs, install, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliance using appropriate tools and testing instrumentsTroubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control centers and programmable logic controlsOrders electrical supplies, maintains adequate stock to repair electrical problemsEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesContributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Education And Experience
High school diploma or GED plus four (4) years commercial electrical experience as an electrician. Journeyman Electrician’s License preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be insurable (for driving). Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member regularly is required to climb or balance; and talk or hear. The team member occasionally is required to sit; and taste or smell. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to natural weather conditions and various dusts and mists may occur while performing outdoor duties. Exposure to chemicals may occur. Standing and walking may be on uneven surfaces or unstable ground. Situations where safety-toe shoes, safety goggles, gloves, protective face shields, or hardhats are needed may occur. Evenings, graveyards, holidays and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may also be required.
