What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Warehouse Analyst I position at Desert Financial Credit Union?
The Data Warehouse Analyst I is responsible for creating reports and visualizations from data residing in the data warehouse and other systems. In addition, they provide daily operational support, SME support for LOB developers and participates in the development of data warehouse and report development standards.
What you will do here:
Data reporting and Visualizations
Generate queries and create reports, visualizations and data extracts from data residing in the data warehouse or from other data sources.
Collaborate with requestors and Data Warehouse Business Analysts to understand the business needs for requested work.
Operational Support
Provides daily operational support to assess and resolve break/fix related issues
Reporting and Analysis
Provide self-service support by collaborating with data analysts across the enterprise in the creation of dashboards and reports.
Documentation:
Maintain thorough documentation of data warehouse processes, procedures, and configurations.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data dictionaries.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and IT professionals, to ensure data needs are met.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or Ged required.
Vocational School or some college courses; Information Technology or Information Systems preferred preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
4 years experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment in a similar position/role required.
2 years experience with reporting tools, software, and applications including SQL Reporting Services required.
1 years experience with financial services industry core and ancillary systems required.
1 years experience in using ETL tools. Experience with databases, data warehouse and data lakes required.
Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL required.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies required.
Familiarity with ETL processes and tools is a plus preferred.
Detail oriented with a commitment to data accuracy required.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) required.
Practical knowledge in importing data for use in reports, spreadsheets and graphs required.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills required.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.
Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail required.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure required.
Strong customer service skills required.
