The Learning Consultant is responsible for delivering a wide range of learning content to new and existing employees, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge to support organizational goals, compliance requirements, and strategic initiatives. Serving as a subject matter expert in adult learning principles, they design and implement sustainable skill development practices that align with the company’s mission, vision, and values. The Learning Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting key organizational projects, particularly those that enhance member relationships and improve the overall member experience. They excel at managing multiple projects independently, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure learning programs are aligned with business needs and deliver measurable results.
What you will do here:
Facilitates leadership development, professional development, sales enablement, and new employee onboarding courses, as well as those related to organizational initiatives and financial well-being.
Develops and delivers effective communication during facilitation and in interactions with business partners.
Presents content with impact to engage learners and drive participation.
Adapts content and delivery to meet the needs of the audience.
Encourages dialogue and practices active listening.
Ensures that all communications from the Learning and Development department are accurate, comprehensive, and focused on both internal customers and members.
Collaborates with Learning and Development instructional designers, business partners, and stakeholders to align training solutions with business objectives. Conducts pre- and post-training analysis to assess course effectiveness (e.g., practices, assessments, activities) and provides feedback to the Learning and Development team to support continuous improvement and learning transfer.
Partners with L&D instructional designers to recommend and design comprehensive learning solutions. Contributes to the creation of delivery strategies, learning content, frameworks, and courses that promote learning transfer.
Manages and generates accurate reports from Learning Management System (LMS) records for course completions and exams
Serves as a role model for facilitation best practices and mentors Training Specialists.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Adult Education Theory, Communication, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5 years of Facilitation or Training experience required.
2 years of Leadership Facilitation experience required.
2 years experience leading others preferred.
Expertise and success delivering leadership development training required.
Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills required.
Strong interpersonal/human relations skills required.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach individuals required.
Demonstrated ability to work with leaders at all levels of the organization required.
Proficient in industry standard software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office required.
Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) preferred.
DDI (Development Dimensions International) Certified Facilitator preferred.
SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR preferred.
