Primary Responsibilities :
- Identify the learning needs of individual children
- Plan and deliver instruction based on the needs of individual students
- Provide learning environments that are stimulating where the children can develop their potential and experience growth
- Help students gain the appropriate attitude, skills and knowledge
- Use evaluation tools as tests to evaluate the progress of the students
- Communicate the student's progress to parents and the school's administration
- Serve as a mentor and role model to students
- Organize, direct, and supervise parent volunteers and paraprofessionals within the classroom
- Supervise an after school activity / club
- Attend professional development as required by Administration
- Provide for the functional needs of students
- Assign and grade homework and classwork, provide feedback to students
- Prepare, administer and grade assignments and tests with an aim of evaluating the progress of student's toward Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards
- Maintain accurate student records
- Prepare and implement remedial sessions or interventions for students performing below grade level
- Prepare course outlines and objectives
- Enforce school administration policies
- Provide learning resources and materials
- Plan and supervise students on field trips
- Provide adequate supervision of students within the classroom and other areas on campus
- Adhere to Arizona sanitation and safety regulations
