Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Provide daily instruction to high school students in Spanish at the high school level, as well as 2 College Level or Dual Enrollment CoursesEnsure college courses are delivered through the expectations of the Maricopa County Community CollegesIdentify and address the individual learning needs of studentsDevelop and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and abilitiesFoster a stimulating, inclusive learning environment that encourages growth and developmentInstill positive attitudes, skills, and knowledge in students to prepare them for academic successUtilize various evaluation tools (e.g., tests, observations) to monitor and assess student progressCommunicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school administration regarding student performance and behaviorServe as a mentor and role model, promoting ethical behavior and respectOrganize, direct, and oversee parent volunteers and paraprofessionals in the classroomSupervise and lead an after-school activity or club to enhance student engagementParticipate in professional development opportunities and adhere to school policiesProvide accommodations and interventions for students requiring additional academic supportAssign, review, and provide constructive feedback on homework and classworkPrepare students for standardized assessments in alignment with Arizona College and Career Readiness StandardsMaintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including grades and attendanceAdhere to Arizona sanitation and safety regulations, ensuring a secure environment for studentsJob Skills and Specifications

Bachelors degree in Education (preferred) or a minimum of 3 years relevant teaching experienceMaster's Degree in Spanish or any field with 18 graduate credits (if Dual Enrollment courses are offered)State of Arizona Teaching Certificate (required)Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardPreferred Qualifications
