Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
GENERAL DUTIES:
The nursing transport aide reports to the One Call Center for daily clinical supervision and receives assignments from the One Call Center/Transport Dispatcher. The nursing transport aide provides safe, efficient, and timely transfers and discharges of patients from nursing units, and ensures equipment is located in the appropriate areas. The nursing transport aide will remain immediately available via the SpectraLink phone system or communication device that has been implemented, and maintains a high level of customer service as detailed in the customer service plan.
