Summary
We are seeking a Floral Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing outstanding customer service while also assisting with daily shop operations. Your contributions will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in floral design and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, and order pickups, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Answer phone calls, take orders, and provide product recommendations.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash, and operate the POS system accurately.
- Maintain a visually appealing and organized shop, including merchandising and restocking.
- Support inventory management by unpacking and organizing supply deliveries.
- Assist in floral preparation and help designers as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of workspaces, including washing buckets, vases, and general shop upkeep.
Requirements
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong teamwork skills.
- Experience in retail, sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with cash handling and operating a register or POS system.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Flexible work schedule and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Knowledge of floral care, plants, or gardening is a plus but not required.
