Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Collaborate with the CEO and Leadership team to identify and prioritize key development opportunities in the organization.
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to support financial sustainability goals, focusing on revenue generation, cost savings, and enhanced patient access.
- Develop business cases to assess financial viability and return on investment (ROI) for proposed projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with the Patient Accounts and Patient Registration team to optimize patient access and enhance the revenue cycle with measurable results.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue generation across existing and new programs.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for expanding services and forming strategic partnerships that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Collaborate with the Quality & Development Director to identify and secure new funding sources, including value-based payment models and grant opportunities.
- Special Projects Management:
- Oversee and implement measurable, cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and expanded service delivery.
- Tracks metrics for each project and across the organization that demonstrate the effectiveness of this position and its impact on DSHC’s financial health and sustainability.
- Ensure projects are executed and completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Conduct sustainability reviews of projects to ensure continued positive results after project completion.
- Regularly report project status, outcomes, support needs, and ROI to executive leadership and the Board.
- Support department leaders in implementing changes or initiatives tied to business development projects.
- Partner with the Operations and Quality Directors to ensure alignment with department SMART goals, metrics boards, and the strategic plan.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- May supervise 1-2 direct reports
- Support DSHC’s strategic plan including trend analysis and recommendations for service expansion.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to foster communication and alignment of organizational goals.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the organization.
- Serve as a constant champion for The Desert Sage Way and DSHC’s Organizational Constitution and core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field required. Master’s degree and/or PMP credential preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, specifically in business development, project management, or healthcare operations, preferably in an FQHC
- Skills:
- Lean, Six Sigma, or similar training/credentials.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects through to completion and self-sustainment.
