High School Art Teacher
Desert Sage High School is a Waldorf-inspired, public charter high school, serving a diverse group of about 100 students.
We are seeking an art teacher for grades 9 through 12. The 9th grade curriculum includes clay work, black and white drawing, weaving, and calligraphy. The 10th grade class studies clay work (wheel throwing and hand building), painting, stone carving, and wood carving. Juniors and seniors take electives in various media. Curriculum design is an integral part of this job, and classes in other disciplines may be available if the candidate is qualified.
Desert Sage High School is an initiative member of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Schools. Waldorf training is not required (though it is preferred), but untrained candidates must possess a desire to become Waldorf-trained. A teaching certificate is not required.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
