Summary

Desert Spring is seeking full-time teachers for the 2–3 year-old classrooms for the Fall 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for energetic, positive, and team-oriented educators to join our team. Ideal candidates have experience working with young children, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Duties

Key Responsibilities :

  • Foster warm, respectful, and compassionate communication with children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design engaging indoor and outdoor classroom environments that promote exploration, independence, and peer-to-peer learning.
  • Observe and document children’s learning experiences to highlight their growth and foster reflection.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support during play, exploration, and creative activities.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, potty training, meals, and rest periods.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and well-being.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through Procare, email, and virtual meetings as needed.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events.
  • Maintain professional requirements through the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry .
  • Keep current fingerprint clearance and TB testing records.
  • Requirements

  • Minimum one year working in childcare setting
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to lead and work with an assistant teacher
  • Two to three professional references
  • Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or experience in a Reggio inspired school
  • Familiarity or experience in child-lead environments, such as Montessori or Waldorf
  • Knowledge of Quality First assessment process
  • Experience working with a designated Quality First coach
  • Coursework or degree in early childhood education or similar field
