Desert Star Addiction Recovery Center is looking for a behavioral health therapist to work in person: focusing on mental health treatment /substance abuse group treatment. This is an In Person part-time position (15-20 hours per week).

Position Overview 

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Clinical Therapist to join our team and contribute to our purpose of empowering individuals on their journey towards lasting recovery and a brighter future. As a Clinical Therapist at Desert Star, you will play a pivotal role in providing excellent clinical care, addressing co-occurring disorders, and fostering an environment of compassion, integrity, and generosity. 


Key Responsibilities: 

·        Conduct daily individual and group therapy sessions for clients seeking recovery from substance use, trauma

and mental health issues. 

·        Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. 

·        Utilize evidence-based practices and technological advancements to enhance the effectiveness of clinical

services. 

·        Foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients, promoting trust, openness, and accountability. 

·        Provide support, education, case management and resources to clients, their families, and the community. 

·        Embrace a learning mindset by participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. 

·        Uphold the confidentiality and safety of clients as a top priority in all interactions. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

·        Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. 

·        Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed

Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) or equivalent are preferred. 

·        Experience in providing individual and group therapy to individuals with mental health and/or substance use

and co-occurring disorders. 

·        Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. 

·        Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. 

·        Three to Five years’ experience delivering mental health and/or substance use services is preferred. 

·        Ability to work some evening hours
