Director of Sales
Reports to: Division Leader
Classification: Exempt
Position Overview:
The Director of Sales supervises all sales activities for their division. The Director of Sales is responsible for managing and motivating the sales team to achieve sales goals success, while continuously providing high level training on sales techniques and implementation of processes.
As a Senior leader in this organization, it is imperative that the Director of Sales maintain a mindset of continual improvement and work diligently to foster a culture of continual improvement within your team, your department, and the company.

Job Duties:
- Developing departmental operating guidelines, and for recommending departmental budgets to supervisors through the budgeting process.
- Analyzing and evaluating data available to establish departmental objectives, goals, and budgets annually.
- Conducting departmental operations within established budgets.
- Interview, evaluate, hire, train, motivate, supervise, and discipline all personnel under direct supervision. This includes terminating personnel, when necessary.
- Maintain a constructive environment for the continuing development and career-oriented advancement of directly supervised personnel. This includes conducting regular Performance Evaluations of all personnel under direct, primary reporting supervision.
- Manage the problem identification and solving process within the department and with other departments.
- Schedule, prepare, and present seminars to train all departmental personnel when needed. This includes testing employees on product knowledge and procedural proficiencies
- Establish good working relationships and expectations with mortgage companies and Real Estate companies in conjunction with Marketing.
- Establish contacts and good working relationships with City, Civic, Professional, and Business-related organizations.
- Inspect and evaluate communities, models, and specs in conjunction with Marketing.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by Division Leadership.
- Role Model and live the Company’s Values and Behaviors. Know the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Objectives and continually communicate and reinforce these to Team Members.
- Adhere to written Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of this position. Develop and adhere to departmental operating guidelines and company’s employee manual.
- Maintaining a constructive environment at work, encouraging Insightful and enthusiastic teamwork that generally creates positive attitudes and builds supportive morale.
- Participating in training when needed. This includes learning product knowledge, procedural proficiencies, and computer software.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years hands on experience in these or related functions.
EDUCATION: Minimum four-year degree or have exceptional direct experience at a managerial level.
EEO/OSHA/ADA: Able to manipulate and use CRT/screens, keyboards, mouse/pointing devices, etc., associated with contemporary computers. Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
