Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.The Psychologist will provide mental health services to patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting, conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and offering therapy and counseling. This role involves working closely with the healthcare team to support the mental well-being of patients and develop personalized treatment plans.Key Responsibilities : Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients dealing with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to treat patients.Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, especially in emergency or acute care situations.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to ensure holistic patient care.
