Description
The Commercial Sales Specialist supports the commercial initiatives for the company by preparing accurate, complete, and timely estimates that meet specifications of both design build and plan/spec jobs. In addition to working with Commercial team members, the Commercial Sales Specialist will work closely with Inside and Outside Sales to provide excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide accurate quotes for all commercial projects that meet specification and customer requirements in a timely manner
· Promptly follow up on customers’ requests, whether handled personally or after passing needs and leads to others, to confirm completion
· Interact with customers in-person, via email and phone in a professional manner
· Partner with Design Engineering team on design/build projects and quotes
· Partner with Outside Sales on pricing and technical specifications as needed
· Utilize and be proficient in Design Air’s operating software (P21) for processing orders
· Build relationships with our vendor partners to ensure timely response on special quote requests
· Estimate design build and plan/spec projects using blueprints and construction layouts provided by the customer
· Stay proficient in our vendors’ software programs to obtain information necessary to produce quotes
· Complete special orders for equipment and materials with project coordination dates being considered
· Assist the Inside Sales team as needed with commercial product and pricing information
· Provide professional grade submittal packages when required
· Manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time
· Take on other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
· Project management or estimating experience in the HVAC industry preferred
· Detailed knowledge of commercial HVAC systems preferred
· Ability to read and interpret blueprint and construction drawings (technical aptitude)
· Ability to think critically and logically under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask to meet project deadlines
· Ability to collaborate and work independently
· Build strong working relationships with all levels of staff and customers
· Use independent judgment to respond appropriately to customer needs
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
· Willingness to own and lead projects
