What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Design Air, LLC?
Description
We are currently looking for a CDL or Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our Rockford, IL team for our first shift starting at 5:00 AM. As a Delivery Driver, you will drive a CDL-required truck, transporting dry loads to customer locations throughout the local branch area. Material handling duties when not performing driving duties based on a delivery schedule.
What you'll do
• Drive truck and follow all safety procedures per company policy
• Keep complete and accurate records and logs of all driving and deliveries
• Be proficient and perform the proper procedures for performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Provide quality customer service
• Pull product, load and unload trucks when not performing driving duties
• Back up other Drivers routes when needed
• All other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What we're looking for
• Must be 23 years old or older (mandatory federal requirement)
• Valid Commercial Driver License: Class A or B
• Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work at heights of 20 ft. on a regular basis
• Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
• Work on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of time
• Willing to work overtime as needed
