Job Summary:
The Sample Librarian is responsible for the ordering, organization and replenishment of library sample inventory and setting the daily priorities of the Sample and Facility Assistant. The Sample Librarian will order, receive and distribute parcel samples to sales teams. The role requires exercising independent judgment, prioritizing tasks, and the ability to manage multiple work projects in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: From $21 Hourly
Essential Functions:

- Utilizing daily reporting to plan replenishment of domestic sample inventory in the warehouse.
- Receiving, labeling, and distributing parcel orders.
- Utilizing daily reporting to identify items that need replenishing from warehouse to library for pulling and/or cutting by Sample & Facility Assistant.
- Oversee quarterly cycle counting of library and warehouse inventory, verifying and correcting where needed through inventory adjustments.
- Tracking discontinued items, and coordinating removal from warehouse and library.
- Ordering standard samples (not custom) for sales teams as needed for projects. Tracking the shipments, updating sales teams on status, and managing vendor response.
- Ordering and maintaining library, shipping, and warehouse supplies
- Scheduling parcel and freight deliveries to the office.
- Coordinate long range planning of library and warehouse space.
- Supervising day-to-day activities and priorities of Sample & Facility Assistant.
- Utilize project management tools to coordinate with the Materials team on incoming materials.
- Working safely always. Following all required safety guidelines including incident report procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and being detail oriented
- Ability to lift and carry at least 30-50 lbs safely
- Computer skills to include MS Office and POS systems.
- Ability to change and adapt to a fast-moving business environment…technological changes and product advancements require an open mind and flexibility to be successful.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise the Sample and Facility Assistant.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The office environment is open and fast paced with frequent canine visitors.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience in similar role preferred
