Opportunity: Detailer/Drafting
This in-office position involves contributing to complex museum projects Monday through Friday in Lorton, VA.
Job Purpose:
Our Detailer/Drafting team creates precise technical shop drawings guiding the manufacturing and fabrication of multi-million-dollar projects. As a key member, you will contribute to projects attracting high visitation numbers in the museum industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D shop drawings or experience with Autodesk Inventor for creating 3D models and shop drawings based on design and engineering documents.
- Understanding of Bills of Material and material properties.
- Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Creativity and ability to work independently, conducting product research and developing practical solutions for imaginative design challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fostering strong relationships with colleagues.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques, equipment, and processes is a plus.
