Job Title: Entry Level Industrial Engineer
Position Summary
This position will be a key change agent by developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company. These would include but not limited to: ERP implementation, R&D projects, material cost savings initiatives, kaizen events, forecasting and model development (both financial and manufacturing modeling). This individual will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Position Responsibilities
· Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operations (kaizen events).
· Work on design and development of processes and procedures of the manufacturing environment.
· Lead the development of statistical models to accurately estimate future manifesting costs in an ERP setting.
· Design and develop processes and workflows in an ERP setting
· Plan and lead various R&D programs focused on continuous improvement initiatives.
· Work with Continuous Improvement Team to further strengthen the ISO 9001 program.
· Lead Quality Meetings that include Trending, Statistical Analysis, Corrective Action, Planning & Status, and communication of new initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications
Required:
· BS Degree in Industrial Engineering
Bonus:
· Experience in identifying manufacturing process opportunities with successful corrective action/issue resolution.
· Education or experience in project planning/management tools and techniques, LEAN and visual tools and methodologies driving continuous improvement initiatives.
· Successful demonstration of applying continuous process improvement mindset that drives improved efficiencies and cost reduction while placing a premium on safety and quality.
· Experience analyzing and resolving complex technical problems relating to operational considerations.
· Possess results-driven mentality with excellent self-management and organizational skills.
· High level of technical, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical reasoning skills.
· Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of external professionals and in-house staff.
· Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and thoroughness while balancing changing priorities and challenges.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook), statistical software (Minitab, R, etc.) and product and process databases (previous ERP system experience is a plus).
