Position Summary:

Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of electrical experience, is dedicated to safety, and is eager to learn and take on more responsibility. This role offers hands-on learning and the opportunity to grow into more advanced electrical roles within the company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installing, maintaining, and testing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures

  • Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and other materials according to specifications

  • Pull wires through conduit and terminate them in panels, junction boxes, and transformers

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using hand tools and test equipment

  • Mentor new helpers and maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment

 

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of hands-on electrical experience

  • Proficiency with electrical tools and a basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

  • Strong communication skills and a positive, problem-solving attitude

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions

  • Dependability and willingness to work as part of a team

 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program

  • Experience working under a licensed electrician
