Experience / Skill Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a content creator or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing social media content, video, or other digital content.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field with a strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and time management skills
  • Creative thinker with excellent verbal, written, and administrative skills
  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube with the ability to identify emerging trends
  • Experience using video/audio equipment as well as editing video using various software programs
  • Automotive Aftermarket background (automotive performance experience an added plus)
  • Capacity to create, organize, and implement a social media marketing plan
  • Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
  • Coordinate DEI’s Brand Ambassador program by building relationships, managing contracts, and working together to create quality marketing content
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Work Environment:
This position takes place in a conventional office space setting, interfacing with coworkers, customers, and vendors over email, social media platforms, online messaging services, website chat windows, phone, and in-person in a tactful and professional manner. Occasional attendance at trade shows, et al, both indoors and outdoors, is to be expected. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. This position requires the ability to handle face-to-face discussions with co-workers, customers, and vendors in a tactful and professional manner.

Purpose of the Job / Position Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator is expected to enhance the DEI brand and build a strong online presence through various social media platforms. This person will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company. Tracking and reviewing social media data and monitoring of targeted special interest forums is required to see if our social media content is effective in building followers and likes. The administering of DEI’s Ambassador program to help build brand visibility, align brands of equal or greater strength, and create marketing content that can be used in social media or other marketing materials.

Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales & marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help to achieve company marketing goals and objectives
  • Create interesting and engaging content for forums and social media platforms
  • Research, recommend, monitor, and engage on targeted special interest forums
  • Provide support to our marketing team and develop a plan for weekly video spotlights of featured products over social media
  • Identify emerging social trends that make sense for DEI to participate in and quickly develop related content
  • Serve as social media video subject matter expert, educating others and utilizing social media video best practices
  • Conceptualize and lead social media video shoots to capture the content needed
  • Monitor the company’s social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
  • Analyze the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to the management that outline any necessary changes to the digital marketing plan
  • Manage the annual sponsorship budget and interact with brand ambassadors. Negotiate contracts and monitor action items to ensure DEI is receiving the agreed upon content or exposure from each
  • Other duties as needed
