Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician - Level-5 to join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems. You will also assist in training junior technicians (Levels 1-3) and ensure top-tier service for our amazing customers.
Serving Carroll, Howard, Frederick, & Parts of Montgomery/Baltimore Counties
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with occasional weekends and evenings) - Full Time Employment!
Pay Scale: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- 3 years of HVAC Service experience
- Licensed Journeyman (MD)
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License
- HVAC Certification from trade school
- Willingness to invest in necessary tools and ongoing training
- Ability to work on ladders up to 28' and step ladders up to 12'
- Meet all qualifications and possess tools required for Service Technician Levels 1-4
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance benefits
- Advanced customer service and communication skills
- Ability to take on leadership roles and responsibilities
- Safe operation of scissors and genie lifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase and maintain required tools for Level 4 technicians
- Arrive at job sites on time, ready to work
- Travel between job sites as dispatched
- Report job site arrivals and departures to dispatcher
- Safely operate company vehicles
- Follow supervisor/dispatcher instructions promptly
- Report any equipment, tool, or vehicle issues
- Communicate effectively with customers and collect payments during maintenance visits
- Promote and sell maintenance agreements and additional products/services
- Inform customers of replacement options in line with company guidelines
- Be available for on-call emergency services as needed
- Train and mentor Level 1-4 technicians
Technical Duties:
- Apply electrical and refrigeration principles
- Use service tools and testing devices
- Layout and install refrigeration piping and low-voltage wiring
- Interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems independently
- Ensure compliance with HVAC building codes
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques
- Present repair and replacement options to customers
- Perform air balancing using velometers or hoods
- Practice basic sheet metal techniques

Able to Repair, Troubleshoot, and Provide maintenance on the follow equipment:
- Oil and Gas Boilers
- Heat Pumps
- Ductless Systems
- Gas Furnaces & A/C Systems
- Geothermal Systems
- Light Commercial Equipment ( RTU's, AHU's, etc)
