Our client, a community-focused, multi-disciplinary civil engineering and planning firm in Northern Virginia, is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects including public infrastructure and private developer-led initiatives, aimed at improving traffic flow and public safety. With each project, you'll gain valuable experience, expand your skill set, and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers and senior team members throughout all project phases.
- Help develop and produce projects from initial concept through construction administration.
- Develop design efficiencies using AutoCAD and MicroStation OpenRoads software.
- Contribute to the design of roadway and trail systems, including geometry, vertical alignments, traffic management, and signage & pavement marking plans.
- Create erosion and sediment control plans that comply with state regulations.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
